Membership Pack
Ealing Refugee Forum is the representative body for Refugee Community Organisations with clients resident in the London Borough of Ealing. It acts as the strategic voice for refugees and asylum seekers in the borough and provides an ongoing programme of support, training and information sharing to its member organisations.
Criteria for Membership
Full Membership
To be admitted as a full member an applicant organisation must
meet the following criteria:
1) It must be an organisation run in the interests of refugees
and/or asylum seekers:
2) It must be managed by refugees and/or asylum seekers:
3) It must have a governing document such as a constitution or
terms of reference:
4) It must have an elected Management Committee:
5) It must give evidence of its activities in Ealing:
6) It must provide a letter of reference in support of its
application from a recognised body such as a statutory agency or
known voluntary agency or religious body.
Only full members have voting rights in Ealing Refugee Forum.
Associate Membership
Agencies and other bodies which work with and support the work of
refugee community organisations or individuals may apply for
associate membership of Ealing Refugee Forum. To be admitted as
an associate member an applicant organisation must provide
evidence of its services to refugees in Ealing or its intention
to provide such services. The organisation may operate locally,
London wide or nationally.
Associate members have no voting rights in Ealing Refugee Forum.
Provisional Membership
Organisations wishing to apply for membership who do not yet meet
all of the above criteria will be offered provisional membership
status until they fulfil the appropriate criteria.
Application Procedures
An organisation wishing to join Ealing Refugee Forum must first
complete the enclosed application form and return it to:

The Co-ordinator will begin to process your application and
present it to a Management Committee meeting for decision. The Co-ordinator
will then inform you in writing of the outcome.
Please complete the application form as fully as possible as this
will assist the Forum in deciding which category of membership is
appropriate for your organisation.
